Welcome to the official Daniel Evans website!
Well, what a year 2008 was for Daniel. Obviously The X Factor has been a major factor in his success – from waiting in line at the O2 arena in London on a bank holiday Monday in the pouring rain for 6 hours, to week 6 on the X Factor Live TV show, sharing the stage with what Simon called “the best bunch of talent he had ever seen on any X Factor or Idol show”.
Then 2009! The X Factor tour gave Daniel the opportunity to perform live in some of the UK’s best arenas, Wembley, MEN, o2 London and Dublin plus many others (all sold out), and to really show people what he could do on the big stage away from the pressure of TV cameras and public votes (not to mention 2 rather nasty judges!!). Every step has been an adventure…and also a learning process for Daniel vocally and musically, working with some of the best arrangers, producers and vocal coaches, not to mention some amazing musicians along the way.
After being kicked out of the show by the judges despite having the most public votes after an amazing 6 weeks Daniel is back to doing what he does best; writing, playing and singing how, in his words, a good song should be sung “with heart, soul and passion”
“Music is something that has always been in my life from a young age, my father was a great singer, but the truth is I never took it seriously…but now I’m proud to say that has changed…I’m now back to writing songs, gigging wherever I can and spending a lot of time on the keys and as soon as any songs are completed or gig dates announced you will see them here…. I hope you will enjoy my music and my interpretations of some classics. I truly believe a good song has to have Heart, Soul and Passion, my motto is ’sing it like you mean it’ and I hope this comes across in my performances.

Update from Daniel: I am presently working on an album with an independent label that allows me to sing and produce what I truly believe are amazing songs. I can’t recall the last time I heard a real heart wrenching track on the radio or TV, something that really moves you and isn’t sung like the singer has been to a classical music school for 20 years! We have found some hidden gems and some never released old soul tracks too, plus a few other surprises in there, and of course, a few of the most popular tracks from the TV show…
Each and every song I have chosen has at some time been part of the soundtrack of my life, and I hope you guys will support me in buying the album when its released later in the year.
We are hoping to set an example, to show that you don’t need to be signed to a massive label or a big management company to make good music heard as long as you have realistic expectations and believe in yourself. Its a dream of mine to do an album…I guess you could say its the last step on my journey, and to be able to choose songs that I really believe in is amazing…I hope you like it…watch this space for more updates and blogs ….

How’s things? What I really came here to say was that I have just pre-ordered your album and now I can’t wait to get it. Yaaaay! (The album that is). But I have to wait until the end of February so I’m gonna have no finger nails left by then. Oh yeah I barely have any to start with, Doh!
