Been a while since my last blog, so many things going on. Sorry, will try and keep more up to date…

Recording is going slow but well. The crew I’m working with are amazing, big thank you to Richard Roberts and John Williams among others for putting up with me!

Want to get the right sound and not rush it. Strings are the hardest. Not easy when you are in market where big ballads seem to only be done by classical singers at the moment, and they are running big budgets with full orchestras and multi million pound recording studios, but I think we have found a solution to get the best sound for minimal outlay…fingers crossed it will all mix up nicely…nothing better than starting with a basic track and adding the elements until it all cooks nicely…and having full control of what’s going on…takes time but its worth it.

Back over to the uk soon for the next gig, looking forward to it, seems like ages ago the last one…crowd were great and thanks to all who came and especially those who waited for hour and a half for a signed photo, then I ran out of them….I will bring more next time….and some other “goodies” too!

Don’t just listen to music…FEEL it!

After making an emotional impact on the XFactor TV show back in 2008 Daniel has been working hard bringing his unique brand of heartfelt music to new audiences around Europe. He has performed on the number 1 charity single Hero, selling over 800,000 copies in the UK and on 2009 completed a sell out Nationwide arena tour, 34 dates playing to over half a million people. Every step has been an adventure…and also a learning process for Daniel vocally and musically, working with some of the best arrangers, producers and vocal coaches, not to mention some amazing musicians along the way.

Now Daniel is back to doing what he does best; writing, playing and singing how, in his words, a good song should be sung, with Heart, Soul and Passion…

“Music is something that has always been in my life from a young age through my father who was an amazing singer, but it was not until the XFactor show that I was able to perform on the big stage, and to a viewing audience of 14 million every week too!

And that in turn has given me the chance to fulfil a dream and make a truly emotional and heartfelt album with real musicians and all my own arrangements.

I hope you will enjoy my music and my interpretations/arrangements. This is the real me. I truly believe a good song has to have Heart, Soul and Passion.

We have recorded this album with an independent label and a young but very talented producer and this has given me the freedom to record what I feel are stunning songs, songs that move you emotionally. I have found some real gems and some gorgeous old soul tracks, plus a few other surprises in there, and of course, a few of the most popular tracks I performed on the X Factor TV show… Each and every song I have chosen has at some time been part of the soundtrack of my life, and I hope you guys love these as much as I do. It’s been a dream of mine to do an album…I guess you could say its the last step on my X Factor journey, and to be able to choose, arrange and perform on songs that I really believe in has been amazing…I have been 100% involved with every aspect of the album from first conception to final printing, every note, every beat, every breath was decided on by me.

I hope you can take this journey that is this album with me…I’m so proud of it and by buying this you are also helping in a small way to support the Help for Heroes charity and thats something you can be proud of too…
